buy new one's, DO NOT re-use them or recondition them, they are not built for it.

As followers need to be slightly rounded so they rock giroly when faced to each other,
this helps them constanly spin in the engine as a static follower would destruct in no time at all .
For this an oil stone is used first and wet and dry to soften any scuffs.
checking cam lobes and followers for sharp edges or imperfections is a very good thing to do on a high spec builds or any type build!

looking at the pic he has some wet 'n' dry, which i guess he has re-faced the followers with.

well if im honest V8 mini is my dream car to build and its all my dads fault as he built a V8 MK1 capri back in the day cruising at 150 and did somethinig like 70-80 in first gear which is just mental and i still have the V8 badge off of it ready to go on the mini
also my uncle has a rover V8 just rotting away in his barn......![]()
insurence is a right bummer but would be good fun to use on the tracks if you could get the handling spot on i reckon
Hi James did your dad know a chap called Ken Barrow who who lived in Birstall, he used to build
hotrods?

and forces directly into the head,. The air doesn't become hot like in a turbo set up.
plus the intercooler is positioned between the turbo and the carb / injection, to
help cool down the air from the turbo before it enters the carb.
sorry if you know this but from what i know you don't need an intercooler.
