nice work !
just read through this whole thread and it makes me wish I knew enough about engines to do stuff like this
get a spare engine mate and have a go at stripping it then try put it together im sure you will learn. Just need to practice. my old man is a mechanic thats the only reason i know what i do as ive helped him fix cars since i was little lol and the rest like supercharging my engine ive learnt how to do that my self.
also i ordered new cam bearings today
great progress mate keep up the good work,
good luck with the charger kit too mate glad ive just gotta do the bodywork for ya now lol
heres a few update pics for ya mate.
We Just have to tack boot repair panel in then make up some further plates to repair the spare wheel well and sides by the arches/wells on boot floor
found the poor mini to be quite a plated rusty old girl but will have her replaced and solid at the rear in next few weeks,
then its sills innner and outer lol
one of the previous owners liked filler and fiberglass lol and putting lots of plates over plates over plates over plates lol
The rear subby mounts in boot had 7 repair's to them each side lol the day was mostly taken up with cutting and grinding out hope on next visit to get the welder out lol will have a very nice straight mini when its done tho.
its worth taking time to do the right thing the end result will show by far despite all the work involved its always worth it, it can be costly tho.
