nice project but what arches are the black ones??? and where do i get some.

there sportspack arches and you will get them cheap from shows if i remember right i got mine for about 60 quid so pretty cheap really

Sportspack arches? if so go the next mini show youll get any arches considerably cheaper than you would do anywhere else

No what you mean about keeping the white bits but the arches stand out to much from the car on their own, what about a check roof?

Mini spares (i think? ) sell the grills pre done like what i was on about but last time my mate looked they were £60 which is daylight robbery but yeah it was chrome slats with either anodised silver, anodised blue or anodised red mesh behind slats and they look smart

wayne

have you got a link for that mate?

Very nice looking mini. Love the look of the red contra black.

I think i'll fit the car to have some wheels that don't stick out under the arches.

well i went to fit a wheel on the front and they wouldnt fit :ermm: due to my brakes size so now saving for some different brakes probs cooper s brakes but i put them on the back to see how they look they need about a inch spacer and i could lower it by about 3 inches easily so it will be scraping the floor due to how slammed it will be ;D

also think of the wheels with polished lip with black center with yoko semi slick tyres

Going back to the grille suggestion, Mini Trailers sell some nice ones like what you were describing:

http://www.boltonbit...amp;CatalogBody

Come in a variety of colours and mesh styles. Bit pricy, but really look cool! If you can bodge something together yourself it would prob be cheaper, but at least here's some pics of what to aim for.

minitrailers dont have the best reputation. You have the bits to make one of those grilles ded easy. drill the slats off your old one, put the mesh on, and rivet some of the slats back on. simple.

Got home from work today and cracked on with the mini for about 4 hours by stripping some of the sound proofing moulded to the floor (hammer and chisel job). This soundproofing is all over the floor of the car and part of the back seat. I have been told when its all up it weighs about 10kg which is about 2 stone i think. Also im going to be cutting part of my back seat out tomoz or next weekend for less weight :w00t: 8)

heres some pics of how the soundproofing looked before. the green stuff is the soundprofing

then went from that^ to this.....
Posted Image
then started on passenger side floor and finished most of that.....
Posted Image
then started on the back
Posted Image
and how it looks now.... also weighed the bag full of stuff and were at 2kg so far lol :(
