hello guys and gals

 

i will be swapping from glass fuses to blade type fusebox, what ratings do i need for the blade fuses?

Same as the glass ones!

 

Are you replacing the old fuse box with one of the same number of fuses? If so, just go like for like. If you are using more fuses, you need to work out what will be running off each fuse to determine the rating.

 

Watts/Volts=Amps. Then pick the next rated fuse above this.

 

Edit: Just read this back and it could be misleading! The glass fuses tend to have a 'blow' rating stamped on them. The 'continuous' rating is generally half this. The blade fuses display the 'continuous' rating. Hope this is clearer!

  Suitable blade fuses don't exist in some of the ratings required.  When Rover switched to blade fuses they had to rewire the whole car to split the circuits up further, it really cannot be done 100% properly and safely as a simple direct swap.
