Hi Guys,

Was just wondering if anyone had any pics of these vinyl roofs on their minis, i'm thinking of getting one as the photos on their website look great and it would be a bit different. Just not sure what they'd look like in the flesh.

Hi guys,

I tied to fit this vinyl roof last night myself but it all went horribly wrong in the corners. Sadly the glue I used (3M Scotch Weld 76) I think did not stick good enough, some parts had to much glue which was clearly visible and there were some parts missed which showed some air underneath. As I live in The Netherlands I could not have it fitted and had to try myself. Not going to do that again and have removed it all today and now need to order a new one. Not happy at the moment but at least I tried :)

The new one I will have fitted by a specialist company. I have photo's but do not know how to share, I can e-mail them. It does really look the real thing and I do need a new one.

regards, Mark W

Hey Mark,

If the glue hasn't "stuck" it sounds like you haven't allowed for enough time for the glue to go touch dry. There is a fitting guide on our website here: LINK

Here is the information about the glue drying times copied and pasted...

Please Note It is vitally important that you wait for the spray glue to go touch dry before attempting to stick the covering in place. If you do not wait for the glue to be touch dry the covering kit will not stick correctly.

This is literally the most important bit of advice we can give to anyone using contact glue and if you do not allow for the contact glue to go touch dry before you bond the items together, it will not stick very well.

Hope that helps for the future anyway.

Thanks

We recommend using a high temperature resistant spray adhesive (so just read the can to make sure it's high temperature resistant).
