I'm fitting a new new clutch plate and diaphragm soon,

I think I read somewhere when you fit an uprated version you have to counter sink some bolts to make it work?

Any idea guys?

Not to my knowledge. At the other end of the engine, you do have to countersink a couple of bolts in the timing cover backplate, if you fit a duplex chain and gears. Perhaps you are thinking of that?

Hmmmmmm

I'm sure I've seen something about it :/

People fitting then and then having trouble engaging the clutch because of these bolts

No, a comp clutch is a straight replacement.

Well, there is another thing that goes wrong, if the starter motor bolts get mixed up with the clutch slave cylinder bracket bolts, both 3/8" UNC, but different lengths. There are a number of cases here on the forum of engines mysteriously not turning as a result of doing that. Easily fixed, but with a modicum of care such things need not happen.
