The link above is for the single line brake system used on early cars and may not be appropriate for this particular car without additional changes.

I have never had any luck stopping a dual circuit system when something failed, they are not very good in my opinion, maybe I'm asking too much of them

I am waiting for the OP to comment more on what year this car is and where the brake lines run.
