Right, got new tyres put on some rims, noticed that one of them was going down, so I let the tyre fitters know and they told me to bring it in and they'll do everything again.

Between them saying that and me bring it to them for the second time, I put the wheel in the bath and after a while I noticed tiny bubbles. Thought oh bugger. Anyway, took it to the tyre fitters and they done everything again.

Just been to the mini and the tyre is still solid, whereas before it would of been down by now. So must of not had a good sealing first time round. Problem is now that I've seen the little bubbles, I'm worried the rim is cracked. If it is then it must be super tiny because looks all good to me.

Just want a bit of advice what to do. You don't come across the wheels often so can't just replace it.

Will be corrison on the tyre sealing area of the rim.

Did you expect not to see any bubbles if the tyre was going down? Where else would the air be going?

I knew it was to bubble, but I thought the valve, or maybe the sealing area, but it's bubbling from the middle of the actual wheel.

It's keeping pressure now anyway, that's why I don't know whether to throw the wheel, get it professionally repaired or buy another set just for the 1 wheel.

Middle of the actual rim? How did the tyre company seal it then?

A stream of bubbles from one specific point would probably be a crack, but bubbles from a crack are unlikely to be very small. If they were tiny bubbles from all over it could be porosity. But most likely they were coming from the tyre bead under the wheel and tracking up the surface of the rim so it looked like they were coming out of the metal.

Could well of been the latter. They were only in say a 1" area and were really tiny bubbles. Seems to be alright now since re sealing so probably was just that.

I'll keep an eye on it for a few days anyway.
