Just thinking, seeing as we get an abundance of classic JDM 13" wheels over here in 4x114 stud pattern, has anyone actually adapted a set to their 4x101 standard hubs? Most of the wheels I'm looking at are actually cheaper than equivalent Minilites, Mambas etc and are perfect width and offset to be used with bolt on adaptor spacers, with most being 13x6.5, 13x7 with offsets between +12 and 0. Does anyone make conversion adaptors off the shelf? We have them here, just not in 4x101 to 4x114.

Reason I want to do this? Something different. It's not every day you see a mini rolling down the road on three piece SSR MKIII's, Longchamp XR4's, Techno TRV's etc :) Minilites have been done to death and other styles are crack money here too.

I have had some changed to 4X100, just don't forget you need your drums doing as well, I forgot and had to take them separately.

The easiest way to fit different PDC wheels is to get some adaptors made, these bolt to your original disk/drum using the 4x4" pattern and then have either threaded holes or studs in them at the desired PDC...

That's exactly what I'm looking at.

Are there any off-the-shelf types available or will they need to be machined? No biggy, I know a few good machinists ;)

i have had the holes tig welded up in alloys before and then redrilled them, they were some 5 stud audio wheels that i drilled to 4x100 to go on a skoda pickup.

otherwise, i would agree with redrilling your hubs to match the new wheels, as the problem with the adaptors is that they are pretty thick and make the track width even wider!

i love the idea of getting some different wheels onto minis though, mix things up a little and make you car that bit more unique

Thing is if I come to sell the car I'd like to give the new owner the choice of putting it back to original with minimal fuss, and with a 6, 6.5" wide wheel, with a higher than normal offset, I.e. between +10 and +20, the track width will only be marginally wider than a Minilite deep dish 13x7, which is what I wanted originally before I realised how pricey they are as well as other 13x7 mini specific alternatives.

I've got no objections to running Miglia flares on my clubby either

From what I seem to remember, you can only drill flat faced alloys. You can weld the recess in though from what I understand. Personally not something I would be attempting to do myself, even with the machining facilities I have and being welding capable.

There is a renouned company called "G23 Enginering" which are fantastic at anything wheel related. They also make multi stud addapters so you may even be able to run multiple 4 stud fitments. I have used them for my Audi before now and they have been fantastic. They can also weld and redrill wheels. That or Carl at ForceRacing.
