So I have replaced my shocks to after market KYB
But the car is still bouncing like crazy over every little bump
What else can I change to adjust the rebound??

Your rubber cones may have sagged and gone hard therefore no longer being efficient as a spring and you are just bouncing over everything

If the car is sitting low, it will be bouncing off the bump stops. This gives a huge rate change in the front suspension travel and creates unpredictable handling on uneven surfaces. If it is particularly low, get it raised back up and it will handle so much better.

If it hasn't been lowered intentionally, it will be collapsed rubber cones and/or worn knuckle joints. Get them replaced. Don't be tempted to fit hi-lo's to compensate for collapsed cones. You may get the car back up again, but you still have collapsed springs.

The car shouldn't be sitting on the bump stops, if it is its too low and may cause a ball joint to fail.

If this happens at speed it'll be quite high on the bad day-ometer!

As suggested above the cones may have collapsed, if this is the case when you replace them it'll be a massive improvement

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but I take it you have driven minis before? I only ask because a woman where I work bought one a few years back (a very nice sky) and complained for a couple of weeks about how the suspension was shot, she had been quoted £1000 to sort it. I took it for a drive and it was a case of 'they are all like that sir'. It drove beautifully. She had been used to modern cars and just couldn't believe the bumpy ride was normal. Heaven knows what the garage was going to do. Obviously if you are used to minis then ignore this post.

I wasn't aware of KYB offering 'shortened shocks'. But I stand to be corrected. Not that the shocks should affect the bump stop requirement.

Set to standard ride height if it is lowered and if you drive on normal roads.
