I assume it is built into the switch, and is a standard Mini item? In that case a new switch is the easiest fix, as they are usually little wire-ended bulbs, soldered in, however they do vary and the only way to be sure is to take it out and have a look. It is never worthwhile trying to dismantle and repair these switches. Some cars have been fitted with other arrangements, which may of may not involve easily replaceable bulbs.
Check that the black earth wire to the switch is intact, as if that falls off, the bulb will not work.
Edit: Somerford show bulb GLB921. I don't know how you change it.

Hi, The switch will come apart but be gentle. With it in the off position, use a small flat screw driver and prize the rocker switch out from it,s housing.
This is on the pivot where the switch rocks on and off (on the side).
The bulb is a small Edison Swan type. The best way to get it out is to use a piece of washer tube, push it over the bulb and unscrew.
I do have these bulbs. They are 12v, 2.5w. They are NOS and not available from most places but I do have some.
Also try some Servisol switch cleaner if the switch is working one minute then not the next.
Failing that I do have some second hand switches that are good.
Give me a call if you need any more help, 07596 541072
