Does anyone know where young drivers can get temporary insurance for a mini at a reasonable price ??

If you are under 21 you probably won't be able to get temporary insurance. Also it depends on how old the car is. When I looked most of them wouldn't insure a car that was older than 25 years. I was lucky as the car I was collecting (a nissan micra) was 23 years old.

 

The excess on temporary insurance is extortionate too. I think the one that I used had a £2000 excess so be careful when using it.

 

If you are needing it to transport the car look at a site called anyvan. It often works out cheaper to get them to move the vehicles rather than use temporary insurance.

Also they often don't cover modified cars.. Something to watch out for..

Being under 21 will be a problem I used dayinsure (aviva) on Saturday to bring a Micra home only had a 500 quid excess
