Hi to all.

Just fitted a stage one kit from minisport and they have supplied me with an AAV needle, which after comparing it using

http://www.mintylamb.co.uk/suneedle/

its almost the same as my standard AAC i took out of the carb.

The engine runs OKish but at about half to 2/3 throttle it is flat, if I pull out the choke fully it goes great!
so I suppose im running too lean. The minispares website says the needle should be AAU "for stage one use", other forums say AAA.

ANy ideas or experience of needle selection and the difference it made to your mini would be appriciated.

Many thanks..Jason :proud:

You need to get a rolling road tune up to get the best preformance out of the stage 1 kit. they will sort the right needle and be able to profile it to you exact needs.

try downloading winsu for more info on diff needle types
