If for no other reason than it allows you to fit and finish the arches in a better way. Far too many Minis with flip fronts I've seen have a really badly finished (IMHO) gap between the front and rear parts of the front arches.

This is one of the big reasons for doing it this way to be honest

:proud:  Sorry Pikey i didnt mean any offence. But did find your sarcasum quite amusing

Shame we don't all find it amusing.

Shame that when people ask for advice the replies just get the p1ss taken out of them. No wonder so many people have stopped posting on here. There is no need for such sarcasm. If you thought my post unclear then why not ask further instead of just taking the p1ss completely unnecessarily.

I tell you what miniboo, why not just do as the funny man says without asking the advice of other people. Or maybe all the people who have never fitted a removable front could all chip in tell you that they once saw a picture in a magazine so it must be good...... !!!

>

Bunch of arse!

Somebody got out of bed the wrong side this morning.

A. I am fitting a front with a-panels integrated so I know a little about it.
B. I have felt the weight of a pair of a-panels (in fact I have two in the garage that I don't actually need to fit)
C. Your point was NOT that the steel front was heavy but rather that the a-panels push it beyond all limits and that you need superhuman strength to remove it.

For gods sakes lighten up.
