Two questions,

The fuel tank has "Made in Canada" stamped on it, I'm guessing this must mean it's an aftermarket replacement (though judging by the state of it it must be fairly new)

The fitting isn't right, it doesn't tighten properly - it is the wrong thread, it was bodged in with a load of PTFE :-/  We can't find anything to match so is it UNF?  It is ~ 1/2 inch so 1/2 UNF?

Mine is mechanical pump, ahh... I see a link for the proper job that I need http://www.minispare...sic/21A308.aspx

a bit pricey though!

I wasn't thinking of the whole line just the fitting as the fuel line on it is fine.

You need a proper pipe for it to seal on the inner fitting correctly
