i didnt really know where to put this, so i just stuffed it in here?

im going to have a go at mirror polishing my alloys on my car (the metro) i was going to pay to get them done, but i thought for less money i could get some gear together and do them myself, and as ill have the gear to do them, i can maintain them more easily too hopefully!

the wheels are stripped and are straight and damage free, and i have had a little go at one wheel with some brasso and a few cloths and its heading in the right direction, but nowhere near a mirror finish!

i have had a little look at mop heads on ebay and the "soap" stuff but i dont really know what to get as im not entirely sure what will work with what etc.

so who has advice on what to use?

where to get stuff from?

which soaps do what?

what is best to use to maintain a shine (at the weekend when im cleaning the car)

also anyone who has pics of thier shiny bits, feel free to show them off!

im hoping that they should be easy to do, and easy to maintain as they are just flat discs really.

i thought i recognised the area code! perfect i can pop over, show them a wheel and see what they advise.

can you get a polishing head to go on an angle grinder? or would that be spinning too quickly?

would be to quick, you could use a single head polisher. they will talk you through the best way to do stuff and what to use. a lot of it is like painting, it's in the preparation.
