Quite a high price, I thought they stopped using these because they weren't entirely reliable. Fairly rare I would think though for this to come up.

Weber alpha ecu's maybe programmable but only by a limited number of places in the country.

Even if you can find someone to program it, it will take ages and cost. Its eprom based so can't be programed live.

Weber ecu's require special software to program them which Weber only issue to a relatively select number of companies.

Even Webers newest ecu Pro4 is only programmable by authorized dealers. They say the next version Pro5 will be for the DIY market.

they been on ebay for at least a year

there's was another seller selling a manifold with injectors etc. again this has been on ebay for the same sort of time

 

I cant find any information on that injection set up, so was a bit sceptical, I take it from your comments that they were used then?

As others stated, this has been around for ages, crops up on my alert list every month. I understand they got a better price from Rover for the re-mapped ECUs rather than them being unreliable but don't have any other details.
