hello all

about two/three weeks ago cant really remember... any way I got a phone call from a friend I use to work with well my good friend did lucusamps1. who told me about this mini.. it had just failed its mot.... only on 20 different points and 8 advisories..... any way the friend wanted to know how much it would be worth scrap value.... as he wasn't a very mini person... he just got it as it was cheap to insure.. shame on him haha. the last mot it had I had done some work on it for him so already knew the car a little bit. Anyway me and Luke finally got hold of him after two weeks of trying to contact him about it we made a time and date to go see it. so on said date on the cold dark evening we went and saw it and it wasn't to bad really under torch light... after having a good look at It I made him a offer of a grand total of £150 and he said yes... he just wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible. after the deal was made the challenge of getting it back to mine had started but luke knew a friend who is helping do some work on his micra mini had a trailer. so gave him a rang and it was getting moved the next day for a grand sum of £20 which I was happy to pay as it was out of his way.

anyway there's a little story about how I got it now the plans...... well the plans haven't really been made yet.....

I guess there is a few plans

1) fit front disc brakes

2) fit new outer sill and repair inners

3) cut the patches out of the boot and repair

4) cut any other patches off around the car and repair

5) deal with the few bubbles of rust it has

6) try and push the dent out in the door

7) strip the horrible dash out and rework the dash area

8) replace switches as some tit has painted the outer of them blue....

9) work through mot fail sheet......

cant think of any more at the mo.... will sort out a proper list when I have had a good look over it

anyway only got one pic of it at the mo when it was loaded on to the trailer so what do you guys think of my 150 quid mini

right not much will get done to it for a while until I have finished my other one that is due in for paint the last week of this month so monies will be getting spent on that on shinny bits. might buy a few things for this one tho like disc hubs and other linked items.

anyway

regards

Jordan

crackin' car. what what a bargain.

I'll give you £500 any day of the week to take that away :-)

I thought I was king of the bargains, but that's taking the biscuit!

Welcome to the wonderful world of multiple mini ownership, be warned it's an insane and rather expensive place to live! The question is though, how long until you find yourself thinking "are two minis enough?"
