Just had a look on MOC, some thread about replacing the hydro units with mini trumpets and cones, would like any pictures and info on that also as thats alot more attractive of a proposition long term.

My Dad made one using an old clutch master cylinder screwed to a plank of wood with a simple wooden lever arrangement to pump it - it looked very basic but allowed me to pump the units up on my 1275GT back in the 80's.

The issue was that the master cylinder had a very small volume, so it took time to fill an empty system ...but it worked and was much cheaper then getting the local garage to pump it up.

Any chance of a link i'm intrigued? Sounds like a job worth doing.

If you keep your eyes on ebay you might find hand held pumps come up every so often for about 20 quid
