I have a problem with my 2007 mini cooper s. on a cold start it has trouble starting, and sometimes when driving it shortly after I put my foot down and it kinda lags slowly then like misfires and then the power comes in

Symptom when I first start the car it starts for a second, then cuts out or chuggs a few times then cuts out it can do it 4-6 times. And sometimes while driving normally it kinda lags wen putting your foot down, then misfires

I believe this may be a common thing, but I am new to mini and this forum, any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Nikki

Yup MINI2 forum will help you out there, or to cut to the chase I swing between old mini & new mini as I have both and it is a common thing with the new mini's right across the range, although since changing the oil & plugs it's not done it since but I know it will be back.  But yes this is well known on the new minis & won't do any harm, mine runs like normal after 20secs or so.
