Hi does anyone know the maximum pay load for a mini pick up?

I am on the look out for one for my dad but need to know if it can take his classic motorbike (tiger cub).

Cheers

Chris

Hi Cris, I dont know the payload for a mini pick up but a tiger cub will only weigh in at about 200lbs maybe less if its in trials trim so should be no problem....the thing to worry about  will be making sure it will go length ways on the bed,  my mazda bt 50 truck needs the tail down to get a mx bike or trial bike on so  I would have guessed a mini will be too short.

yeah its to short with the tail up but we plan to build a separate slide on bed to lay over the main bed with the tail down. should fit on with 4 inch space left. :proud:

it should be fine. Theres a couple of picture about with bike in a pickup, you could always make a different tailgate like this one. Have you got anypictures of the cub?

Load capacity of a van was a nominal 5cwt (254kg) since the pickup had the same plating details it should be this figure too.
Remember though that the load bay is only 1.39metres long at the maximum point; tiny really :D
