I haven't been doing much so have watched quite a bit of the Winter Olympics. Anyone else a fan?

I had never seen a penalty shoot out in ice hockey before - that was fun to watch between the Americans and Russians.

Britain have done ok with a couple of medals so far. But you have to feel for Elise Christie, being disqualified twice! The first one was a harsh call, I thought, to blame her when it looked to me like someone else tapped her first causing her to fall but it is what it is. The second decision is a really really harsh one, being just 1cm too wide. Tough to take for her.

What's really sad though is the online trolls who have been making threats and abusing her. Things like Twitter and FB are good for many things but it really is a sad state of affairs when members of the public are abusing their own Olympic athletes for a decision that went against them. Yes she just has to shrug it off, but its still sad and pathetic that it even happens. The worse thing is, it will no doubt be from people who have no idea of the sport and can probably not even skate.

Its still a good spectacle to watch though. What's your favourite event to watch? I loved the Snowboard Slopestyle but the downhill skiing is always good to watch as well.

Always loved watching the Luge and skeleton, bobsleigh as well.

The speed skating is something else and yes Elise christie was unlucky either that or the umpire was being too bloody picky. As for the Twitter trolls well they are the lowest of the low.

Overall i do find the winter Olympics better to watch than the summer Olympics.

+1 bit annoyed that the BBC seem very dodgy on their coverage. Slope style was never off for the first few days but the premier event - men's downhill, well blink and you missed it.

i have been watching a bit of it, and yes i really feel for elise christie, i bet she must feel really low at the minute, and wondering why she is bothering when idiots have been sending her messages like that. she looked really upset this morning holding back the tears, poor thing.

the skeleton bobsleigh is utterly bonkers though, i would love to have a go at that, shame that amy williams isnt doing it anymore though, she is soooo hot!

it may sound really daft, but she has got lovely hair too! that kind of completes it for me, rockin body, great boatrace, and great curly locks.

You can stream just about everything at http://olympics.cbc....sting/grid.html

(with Canadian presenters, of course).  It's on constantly over here!  Kind of missing NHL hockey on every night...

I've become  a big fan of women's ski-jump, the slo-mo views are asstounding :P

Two man luge.  Why would you ever want to be the man who can't see an effing thing?

I've been waiting for the men's downhill - the blue ribbon event - to come on the telly , it's already happened you say? >_<

I found myself getting excited about the Curling, edge of seat stuff.. Although have absolutely no idea what the scoring system is.

A bit like Cricket. I watch it and all the time thinking "Ive no idea what just happened"

The curling is slow and tactical. It takes a lot of patience to follow it properly. I watch it if Team GB is involved if not I generally give it a miss. The men seem to have done pretty well, although I have no idea of any results over the last couple of days.

I watched a bit of the snowboarding, but I didnt wake up early enough to catch the mens free style... I happen to think Shaun White is a bit of an arse, so im glad he didnt win the halfpipe. And jeez the 15 year old Asian was mental good! force to reckon with in years to come, im sure.
