Hi,

 

We are Jackie and Mark....

 

We are restoring three minis into an Italian Job Trio....

 

If anyone is interested in chatting on this subject we would like to know you and chat.

 

The progress so far is the White and Blue minis are complete and the Red is in progress.

 

We are aiming at finding a new home for these restored minis in April / May 2014. This will be a great opportunity for a business, or collector, or mini club, or family, or 3 friends!!!  If you are interested in these minis please keep in touch we would be pleased to share photos etc....

 

Loads of photos and a lot of money spent, these minis are a dream collection.... people who know is think we are planning a bank raid!!

 

The minis have been selected very carefully to obtain the very best:

White - is a limited edition Mini Advantage (2k paint spayed) to Old English White

Blue - is a limited edition Mini Studio 2 (2k paint sprayed) to Island Blue

Red - is a low mileage Mini Mayfair (2k paint sprayed) to Tartan Red

 

Im hoping to put loads of photos on here when I find out how to!!!!

New parts on the tree minis include:

Body panels as necessary (all 6 A panels) ultralite alloy wheels (12 in total !), tyres, shockers, brakes, copper brake pipes, bearings, rubber cones, bushes, radius arm bearings, rear sub-frames, front upper suspension bearings, hand brake cables, carpets, seat covers, door cards, paint, all window seals, window inserts, wipers, washers, chrome quality door & boot handles, window seal chrome strips, delux door window strips, head-light rims and stainless stone guards, Italian Job spot light bars (very hard to source), 3 (9 in total) stainless 55W spot lights, stainless mirrors, (relays, cables), arch cill fig8 chrome strips, internal bonnet release systems, wavy classic grille, ball joins, track rod ends, sub-frame mounts and bushes, hoses, new engine gaskets, points, plugs, filters, oil, plug leads, dizzy cap, points, high low adjustable suspension, (new dizzy on blue), rear brake adjusters, water pumps, clutch slave cylinders, theromostats

 

Refurbished includes:

Radius arms - rebored

Front Sub-frames - stripped, re-painted

Body shell & doors - stripped, re-painted, fitted with new panels as necessary

Wiring looms - removed, refurbished new connectors

All lights - refurbished, stainless screws used

Master cylinders - new seals

Hi and welcome to TMF, nice cars and you should have no issues moving those on.

 

Word to the wise for selling on here though you will need to either accumulate 150 posts or pay £5 for TMF+ membership.

Very cool!  I see you are going the Italian Job inspired theme rather than replicas.  Best of luck with the final rebuild!

Yes, It's so addictive.... I've loved minis for years!

 

In the past I have refurbished back to standard, but I've a collection of Italian Job collectables stuff and really that's one of the many things that makes mini's great, along with no MPUs (on this age)

 

So that's why we have gone for a fun restoration here, bigger job for me than previous..... 3 minis, but decided to work on one at a time, just on with the red now!!!

mk1leg.... thanks, not sure how much I will be looking for really, I just love the hobby really.... I will need to recover the money I've put into them but its not a profession for me just a hobby so the hours and hours are for free lol.... still works out cheaper than smoking! (I hope), nearer to the time I'll be happy to look at offers but for now I'm focused on work on the red one
