I run minitastic fast road coils with lowered gaz adjustables. Perfectly fine. I can use the shocks to change how it rides for different types of roads. It is mostly set softer on the shocks for daily driving, but last year I made it stiffer for the driving event we do in yorkshire (twisty country roads).

Nice thanks ! Will the gaz shocks will be good with the soft coil spring setup ?!

Mine's standard height, but on GAZ adjustables. They've been excellent so far. Amazingly easy to adjust once they're on too, so you can quickly change the rebound if things don't feel right.

I wouldn't buy Gaz again, I've not been terribly impressed with mine.
They look all nice and shiny when you get them, but they very quickly become corroded and look like they've been left at the bottom of the sea for a few months, .
Also, I think my rears may have leaked, and they've done less than 6000 miles over about 3 years, but I can't be sure, there has been an oily deposit on the shock body, but I've not yet determined if this is the shock leaking, or something else.
They were also a royal pain to fit the rears, as the blue boot makes the diameter of the shock quite a bit larger than most, it fouled against the wheelarch, making it awkward to push up through the hole in the arch, and also causing some rubbing.
They do work though, and the adjuster, even though it's filthy and looks like it'd never work, it still turns the same as it did when I got them. But for the price, I wouldn't get them again.

i fitted a new pair to the front of a customers car and one of them started leaking straight away!
however, i have always used them on my own cars, and have a pair on the front of my metro at the minute. despite the leak on that one new one, i will continue to use them though, and still recommend them to others too.
the comment about them looking tatty quickly is also entirely true, mine started to look tatty after about a month. i have removed them and repainted the bottoms once though, and that seems to have lasted well so far.

Haven't had any problems with mine and as others have said, super easy to tweak once they're on. Would buy again.

have you looked into protech? When I bought mine they didn't seem to be too much more than Gaz/Spax

protech are twice the money of gaz dampers?
i had a pair of protech ally coilovers on one of my minis for about 2 weeks, one of them started leaking after a day or so, and the springs they came with were TOTALLY the wrong poundage for the back of a mini.

52 quid vs 37 for two, so only 15 more. I was buying from Australia so with shipping, and comparing to local prices of spax and gaz (protech not available here), they were a bargain!
