Hopefully a simple question with an easy answer.

Want to put an additional earth strap on my MPi engine to help with grounding. 

Just want to check on location. Looking at going from the transfer housing to the front panel, as shown in the (really bad quality) photo below.   

 Simple question: With all areas cleaned up probably, will this work ok?

the body is earthed in all cars so anywhere from the shell to the engine is suitable for an earth, as its a secondary earth it doesnt matter too much that its connected to the alloy parts of the engine rather than the cast iron block

Would the bolt carry the charge through to the block?
