Anyone know the differences between a weslake 850 engine and just a standard 850 engine?

Apart from the head, which is a 12G202.

Cheers, Andy.

Do you mean the Weslake 2 cylinder 850 for bikes?  Or did Weslake breathe on a 'normal' mini engine?

weslake produce mini tuning products, my guess is they have worked on an 850, the differences could be anything depending on what it was built for, i would imagine its a very old unit as 850 engines arnt generally used for high performance applications nowadays

Yeh that's my thinking mate, just wondering what the specific differences are.

As stated it has a 12G202 head which obviously means it's different to standard 850s as these heads I believe we're used on the 1098s.

The crank is a 12A670 which is the one with the 1.5 inch tail used on later 850s I believe.

Unsure what cam it is as I can't see any part numbers on it.

Not a combination I've come across before anyway.

Cheers, Andy.

In bits or as a whole.

Tricky one, if you find someone mad keen for period bits and can find evidence of what the differences were then it could be worth a bit. But then it's an 850..........
