Only moved 2 miles away quick call and no change to insurance costs " However we chage £25 admin fee to change your address" Excuse me????!! Cheeky gits! How would it cost £25??  ( Before anyone says yes im sure it was in all the small print somwhere)

I also have a Golf as a daily which is insured with Greenlight quick call to them all changed in 2mins and no charge!! The new documents even turned up the next day im still waiting for Footman James!

Both cars were paid outright so Footman James can stick it for next time!

Moan and complain as much as possible, you might get them to waive the fee.

I seem to remember Direct Line charging an extortionate fee for changing my address on my breakdown cover. Went to Asda/Brittania and they allow you to move for free. It's just different levels of customer service.

Lancaster cancelled my policy when they wouldn't cover my recent mods. They retained 100% of the policy fee(I paid in full) and tried to charge a £30 cancellation fee! I told them I'd accept it but I'd be bad mouthing them on every Internet forum I could find. They quickly waived the fee and I'm now with Adrian Flux :-)

Basically i was already insured with them on my daily drive and i took out a policy with them for my mini. Some how they put a different job title down for the mini so they then said i had to change it on my daily drive at a cost of £80 or they would cancel my policy.

I would take that to the insurance ombudsman. Its a free service and I am sure they would sort that one in no time.
