Hi, ive just swapped from a stage 2 head 33mm inlets to a stage 3 36mm inlets. Do I need a new carb needle? I'm running a hif44 with a metro cam and standard rockers.
also, would it benefit from a wider bore lcb and exhaust?

Presuming the head has improved flow, then yes the fuelling will need altering/correcting. As any increase in airflow will require the mixture to be altered to suit.

Whats needle in it now and what does it drive like?

Not sure what needle at the mo. It drives like sh*t to be honest, im not happy with Steve hartleys at Sheffield at all. £450 to tell me what I told them what was wrong with it in the first place. They took the exhaust off to fit the head and didn't even bother to use exhaust clamps of at least fasten it to the box. They set the idle to 2k and couldn't do the timing because they didn't know the engine number.
It's currently leaking exhaust from everywhere and back firing every so often. It's lumpy as he'll upto 3k and feels down on power to the previous head.
I'm going to sort the exhaust out, then have a go at the timing before I look at the carb needle.

Thats serious money for the outcome, if they cant set it up go somewhere else in future, thats a pretty lame excuse, see how you get on
