hi would really appreciate some help, the mini I currently have has always been very temperamental and at the moment wont even start!

Before I had the problem ive replaced:

dizzy cap

leads

plugs

rotor arm

battery

alternator

starter motor

prob a few more things but all I can think of to do with this problem...

then since it has failed to start I have tried

a new coil

change of leads

change of black gubbins box (top left engine bay)

all still to no success.

ive worked out

that I have fuel getting to the carb..

im getting power to my dizzy (as set me wire wool on fire when cleaning it lol)

and im reading power through the coil on a volt metre although I do understand motor electronics are slightly different.7

ive tried a fault finder on it but I cant even get it to read anything and im not sure why??? (just keeps saying unable to establish data connection)

really really struggling now what this could be and don't really want to take it in a garage to get ripped off if it is something I could fix... im just hoping its not the ECU although it seems to be pointing that way.

Test for spark at the plugs and check if the plugs are wet after cranking.

measure if you have energy at the coil with a multimeter.

Sometimes a condensor comes faulty out of the box ( like mine)

Also, check that everything is installed correctly ( eg right power supply on coil, right connection to condensor,..)

grtz!

Checked with multi metre and I do have power at coil. Also Yeh have checked everything is where it should be.

Wouldn't no about crank sensor, how do I know?

Can't be immobiliser as it wouldn't turn over at all would it?
