Hi All,

 

Can anyone confirm that this is the correct clutch kit for my engine (1990 Metro 1275 with 180mm friction plate)

Have also noted that the replacement clutch's that used to be supplied by Austin Rover included the flywheel. therefore will my flywheel and new diaphragm need balancing before use. Also does anyone know if this kit contains the 6 bolts to secure the centre hub?

should be verto but post a pic of your slave cylinder and we can confirm it.

Clutch kit seems fine.

 

I think ive read you can fit the 190mm plate but dont quote me on that.

 

You wont need the flywheel, the clutch kit should be ok.

Already have the flywheel what I need to know is whether my flywheel and new diaphragm require balancing as a unit. Not sure what you mean by long or short arm as the clutch is a Verto only thought the long arm was fitted on the Pre Verto clutch.

Verto is short arm and later pre engaged starter.

 

You shouldnt need to balance standard replacement items. They will be within a tolerance for a road going car. If its a proformance motor, uprated and lightened etc, then it may be worth doing, but standard car is fine.

Thanks for the advice gents, would have gone with the 190mm plate option if the flywheel had been new however there is a very small ware ridge on the flywheel probably less than a 0.001" so will play it safe and stick with the 180mm
