Hi All,

Need some help? Have almost completed my first engine build (1293) save for fitting the clutch. The engine will be bench run first (No Mini yet) have everything sorted, electrics, cooling system, fuel supply etc. Just have a question about the exhaust system. I will purchase and fit a 1.75”id Maniflow manifold however as I don’t have a Mini yet, just  need to know would it be possible to fit any old pipe + silencer or would it be best to purchase the complete system at this early stage. Don’t really want to upset the neighbours by running it without a silencer.

Might seem a bit of a stupid question but I don’t want to risk buying a pipe that won’t fit my chosen Mini when I finally get it.

Cheers

Stuart

I've got an old LCB manifold in the shed!

It could be yours for 15 quid posted

unless you get a van, estate or elf/hornet the exhausts fit all saloon minis but then you can buy a van one etc. if youv got a 1293 then buy the right exhaust for the engine and if you deffo want a saloon or van or estate then that will mean u know what the rest will be
