Can someone confirm what does and does not make up a bare rear subframe and replacement rear cones.

The reason I ask is that I have just removed my rear subframe and was a little overzealous when I removed my rear trumpets and cones, one came out trumpet and rubber cone only and the other came out and appears to have brought with it a metal conical ring together with the metal circular saucer that sits at the rear of the subframe between the main struts.

Here is a pic of the rear cones:

Here is a pic of the LH side of the rear subframe with the circular saucer in tact (what's the proper name for this part)?

And here is a pic of the RH side:

Do replacement rear cones come with these metal rings?

Can someone please clear up my confusion%$@£^@$

Many Thanks

The replacement cone won't come with that metal ring. The cone will have a piece of metal attached to the rubber, but not that ring shown there.

There aren't many images of cones from that angle on google image search, but I found this one:

And minispares has some side profile pics:

And the metal ring is part of the subframe. Reckon that one is shot so you need a replacement subframe and suspension cones....

Simon - Sorry for being a nube just to clarify is in the pics that I posted is the middle pic or the bottom pic what a bare subframe should look like? And in the top pic looking at the RH cone the inner and outer circular pieces of metal that have come out with the cone actually belong to the subframe?

I am keeping an eye out for a second hand replacement but none of them seem to have the large circular cone at the rear?

E.G. this one: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4d190ea805

Which is the only one I have found locally :-(

Neither should look like that. Rubber cones have a bonded metal ring on the base. On one side it has stayed in the frame and come away from the cone. On the other side it's rusted onto the subframe, and come off with part of the subframe. Not great in either instance
