Hello to all, 

 

I was wondering if anyone out there could help me with how i should go about setting up my accelerator pedal? Im doing a hayabusa conversion, and its right hand drive. Any help would be much appreciated as id like to sort this before the car goes to paint pretty soon! 

 

Pictures would be the icing on the cake :)

I made my throttle pedal swing from the floor, instead of hanging down.  I use steel brake line for a cable housing then ran a conventional throttle cabal through that.

I did away with the original Zcars lever system where it used two cables and the mini throttle pedal. I ordered a new cable 750mm longer than Zcars original and simply looped it back to the front bulkhead and then onto a new bespoke throttle pedal.

Rose joint on top of throttle pedal:

 

 

Return spring on the pedal:

 

 

 

This shows how the cable loops out almost to the back of the headlight and then back towards the bulkhead:

 

 

 

This one shows the cable going into the fwd bulkhead, next to the front brake line:

I have a similar question about the accelerator pedal. 

I must say your solution looks super cptkirk!

 

 

But on my setup there is already a preparation from from z-cars. Can anyone tell me how they had this one figured out? 

Perhaps someone has pictures of this fitting?

George, make sure you put a decent return spring on there. i had one on the pedal end and on the throttle body... you don't want that thing jamming open
