I was wondering if there is a dedicated Mini museum anywhere? I've been to Gaydon and seen the collection there, also viewed various Minis in other museums across the country... but I don't think that there is a place that is solely dedicated to the car, is there?

Would there be an interest in one? Would you make a special trip to visit if somebody was to create such a place?

I'd say any mini show is like a museum to be honest.

There was some guy on here a while back trying to get donations to buy the tunnel mini to go in his museum that he was planning to build. I don't think he got very far with it though.

I know that currently a comprehensive Mini exhibition is being put together and should be open by the end of the year.  I guess more details will be forthcoming when they are available.  I know the person heading this up would love it to form the basis of a Mini Museum once the exhibition has finished, but there is absolutely no guarantee of that at the moment.

As and when I know more, I will post it on TMF.

There already is a mini museum with some very fine pieces. It's Tanya and Jason's collection and you do not have to make a special trip as some of it appears at many of the shows.

There was a guy in Northern Ireland had a massive collection of minis, a private museum including some very special ex rally cars, GRX 5D, 24 PK etc. He would have opened it up to various car clubs to visit. It was spectacular.

I believe that he has now sold off most of them though?
