Apart from one being a Heritage are these both the same?

There is a big difference in price at £34.18 and £16.66. Has anyone used the cheaper ones are they a good fit?

Thanks

Jason

I made my own from 1.2mm sheet steel, alot better than the ones you can buy IMO as it's mainly one peice.

Pattern panels are a bit hit and miss. Some are good. Some are bad. Small panels like a-panels and closing panels are usually ok when using pattern.

Even heritage panels arent great now. The tooling is very worn after producing over 5 million cars!

I can also vouch for the heritage ones it's a really nice panel. It's also double skinned where the bolts are so nice and strong.

Thanks for the responses. I was going to make them but found these cheaper ones that look the same as the Heritage ones for half the price.

Is Simon about? Are these any good?

Original panels are always (nearly) better than the aftermarket. But these new rear closers are on fresh tolling and are pretty close to them

Is the rear valance genuine or not? The heritage ones are a good fit if the rear valance is original or heritage replacement but not that great if it has something like a magnum one. If its a pattern rear valance then I would save your money.

Thanks Simon I will give them a whirl.

The rear valance is a Magnum one. I am not happy with it but will have a play with it before condemning it.

Thanks for the help.

Ordered a pair this morning. Its a bit strange that one is dearer than the other?

I will let you all know how they fit with the Magnum rear valance.

I have a magnum valance, and both magnum closing panels in my room now, if you want any photos close up to see quality, fit etc. I'm happy enough with them.

Here you go.

The closing panel and the valance are all Magnum items. The subframe mounting holes do not line up with the holes I drilled in the floor but this may be more to do with the fact I have rebuilt both corners. In the pic the closing panel is welded to the floor but the valance is not welded on. As you can see the curve of the valance is not great and will need to be pushed and pull about a bit to fit. I have had a bit of a play with it and its getting better.

Overall I would recommend the closing panels but I would not expect the holes to line up. This is an easy fix by bolting the subframe on by the front mounts and redrilling the rear mount holes. I could have moved the closing panel further to the rear but then the flange would not meet the wheel arch flange.
