I just did a bunch of work to my car which has a 1293 A+  and installed this radiator

and a new copper/brass heater core/matrix  from the Demisterman, how much coolant should it use I took out around 1/2 gallon (with an original factory radiator) and put back nearly a gallon so either the old system was low or the new one uses a lot more coolant.

A gallon sounds about right, I am sure the capacity is 4 litres.

I must be having some sort of senior moment I couldn't find the spec in my Haynes.
