Im seriously considering buy a welder and some box section, learn to weld and grab the engine out of my wrecked micra...
by the way quick Q for you people in the know: my micra is a 1L, is it worth doing it for the smaller engine?

I had the 1ltr and it was OK but the 1.3 is better all round.

If you want economy I think the 1.0 on a 1.3 box would give good results.

Micra any day of the week especially if it's your daily drive.  It's a Jap power plant and gearbox.  Get in, start it, thrash it, get out ....just keep on repeating that process day in day out.

Nothing against any A series .... but the jap stuff has the benefit of 50 years of technology development.

Mine was the 1.0. Can't seem to recall for certain what box was on it but I will check. The thing would knock on 100 with a bit of pursuasion.

Very worthwhile conversion.

The Trinidad chap has done some amazingly tidy installs.

Get a 1.6 primera engine and it fits right on to the 1.3 micra gear box its only slighty biger than the 1.3 block so shuld still fit easy un sure what power it would put out but my mates just done this swap in his micra and it flys now

I think the 1.6 was really heavy? IIRC?

But the 1.6 box may have a lower ratio fd, could be useful if its not any bigger
