Hi guys, purchased myself a 998cc '87 Park Lane mini today, I was wondering if people could put forth their recommendations for the cheapest possible insurance?
By the time I've passed my test I'll be just over 21, thanks :)

Aviva are good I think. Although it's been a LONG time since I was 21. My teenage niece is insured with them.

Aviva don't show up on comparison sites, you have to go to them directly.

Go on the comparison sites, add your parents to it? you might be able to get classic car discount (I did from admiral) you just need to fill a form in. change different bits like where it's kept overnight and the mileage limit, It was cheaper for me to have 5000 miles than 4000 miles.

I've been trying to do that but the sites that are recommended to me always so they're unable to give me a quote online  :mmkay:

That sounds amazing mate but it's not letting me get a quote online, how long ago did you get that?

Remember when you do a quote on comparison sites, you will get multiple searches on your credit file each time you do a single quote. I think it can really hammer your credit score.

Try elephant, my quote for the mini is £370 with no mods, 19 and 1 years no claims. £470 with alot of mods planned to be done. My first year was also cheaper on my own and without named drivers, worth trying both,

I've been trying to get quotes all week with most websites failing for me but I've been on Moneysupermaket and the lowest quote I've found on my own insurance is £1185 with Admiral, is that any good considering I've put down I've been driving for less than a month? (I don't have my license yet)

Jeeeeez, what's he driving, a tank?
Just looked at what it'd be like if I put my mom on my insurance and that's lowered it to £770
