He everyone hopefully this is in the right place, ive just got a 72 clubman, the previous owner had intended on using a 1200 bandit engine in the rear so the car has come stripped but rolling with a very strong cage. Ive read online about promotive and lynx ae kits for r1 engines but Ive been wondering if a similar system can be made up but using a zx10r engine. has anyone done this before I am looking at keeping it as fwd. Also ignore the rear wings they are being changed to look original.

thanks for the help

It may just be possible to use the ZX10r under a standard clubman front but it will be extremely tight, the R1 is used as it has a stacked gearbox this makes the motor shorter front to rear than most bike engines.

The pro motive reverses the engine and this may be more suitable for your installation, have a word with pro motive, they used to advertise that they were interested in other engines and configurations although I can't find it on there website at the moment

Thank you very much, I will have a hunt on their website. I just fancied trying something different from the standard R1.
