I feel like an absolute idiot! I left the mini running the other day for bout 30minuits to charge to battery!
But I left the choke out .. Stupid ! I went out to turn it off and she chugged and stopped running ! She hasn't started since !

Is this just a starter motor problem or is there more internal damage from this?

Does the engine turn over?

If so, you may have just fouled the plugs, take them out (they'll probably be black) give them a good clean and put them back in.

Also, check the oil level, if it has gone up lots, it may have a quantity of fuel in it and need changed!

Starter motor appears unrelated...is starter doesn't turn engine over then it's nothing to do with your choke episode!

Does the car turnover normally, slowly, or not at all?

If your battery was drained then leaving it running for 30 mins may not have fixed it if it's a dead battery, or alternator, or starter, or something else. I've always found most sudden starting problems are due to the battery and re-charging it is often too late.

Ive driven 200 miles with the choke out before. Shouldnt be an issue for 30 minutes. Itf its not turning over completely then id be looking at your battery as the culprit.

Could be the battery is flat. Try taking the plugs out and see if it will turn over at all.

connect a jumper pack or trickle charge the battery and try again, if that still only produces a whine then tapping the starter might help incase its stuck on the flywheel.

But I cant see it running on choke being that much of an issue, it would have run a bit rich but give the oil a sniff (not too big a whiff!) if it smells like petrol it might be worth changing it

I am not sure the choke has much to do with this if it is not turning over at all now.

Why was the battery flat in the first place? It might be knackered. Sometimes even a healthy battery can get damaged by being completely drained. Bet you with a new battery connected it starts up first time ;D

It was new to us all once, Some of us just started earlier than other!

It does sound like a low battery If you haven't  got a charger consider one of the latest ones that charge the battery then shut down, just coming on as needed to keep the battery fully charged! You can leave them connected 24/7 without overcharging.
