Same as above I have the MiniSpares 2 core rad in my 1330 without issues

It's probably a bit hotter in the summer where I am so my car runs pretty hot in traffic with the 2 core so I put in one of these

My car also has the auxiliary fan in the wing which helps. With the 2 core the fan ran pretty much all of the time.

I think more info on the engine thats going to be cooled or engine spec that folk have had issues with certain rads would give everyone a better perspective.

The OP had his spec listed, my car has a 1293 A+ 276 cam 1 3/4 SU LCB RC40 DTM 2 box. The 2 core definitely had issues keeping it cool when it was 80+F

Your spec is more detailed and its the details that count. And like you said your summers may be hotter than here in the uk. There could be other issues as well that may lead to a rad not working to full efficiency ie worn water pump, stat not working correctly and so on.
I just went down this route to see what my problems were and actually found the rad had issues so went for the twin core performance one. Personal choice for me and on a recommendation.
I think if i was going to go for a higher spec engine then maybe a four core would be better or aux cooling or both.

Mine struggled with a 1275 266'd stage one in traffic, with new waterpump / thermostat etc. On l2b it was a case of heater on full - hardly super cool as described...
Then fitted a thermex, same engine components, and l2b the year later (which was hotter!) - it never went past 2/3's.
Now with a 105 horse engine its starting to struggle, so as part of my winter mods a mocal oil cooler has been fitted. Both engines setup by a pro on the dyno, ie not running lean / incorrect timing.
Aux fan with it was a must, i saw hardly a difference over the standard 25yr old 3 core.

I fitted a 4 core ali rad to my supercharged and its noticeably cooler, used to sit at 190 deg, now its 160 on the move. In traffic I have to use aux kenlowe fan. I have my heater plumbed in with no tap so its always "on".

to be honest i'm sceptic about these 2 or 4 core 'special' rads, the 3 row rad is proven to be as good and cheap, you can use an aux fan if needed.
A good alternative is fitting one of those big alloy rads, they holds more water and are good enough for use with no aux fan fitted.

The ali one I have is about twice as thick as the standard rad - Stuart from Vmax had a few last year.

I'm thinking the two core with a electric fan as well is best option.
