Hi folks I have looked and looked at the Haynes I have but am stumped with the following

green with orange trace coming off fuse point 4 ? Any guesses

haynes says it should be a purple wire with no trace going either to headlamp flasher switch or brake failure test switch and warning lamp ( which I don't have) ???

Also

Green and orange does the heater fan motor as well as other things, the purple going into the choc block, for a start launch that choc block as far as you can and connect it properly - crimp or solder, not sure what the blue is, I'm pretty sure green/brown is reversing light, white/black is tacho so if not fitted do not worry, just make sure it will not short, and the two green/orange in the second to last pic will be the heater fan for one and POSSIBLY the indicator flasher can feed but don't quote me. Hope this helps, does anything actually work!

If the wire colours are not in Kernows guide, then no-one on this forum can help unless the previous owner or people have worked on it help.

Although if you tell us where the mystery wires go we will probably be able to help

On other cars, I've had success using a telephone tone tracer to find where wires go. You hook one end up to a wire, and the other end, will make noise when it gets close to that wire. On my ford van, it had 4 unused switches on the dash as a factory option, but the output leads in the engine bay weren't the same colors as the manual said (they had changed the colors that year, but not updated the manual until the following year). I was able to find the correct bundle, then from there, to find the wire in the bundle, by waving the wand around.
