Ive searched this and come up with nothing

Basically Im running hi-los on the rear, wound all the way in, & Im still looking like a monster truck!

Am I missing something? Is there something I can do to lower it down more?
Im thinking of getting hi-los for the front too. But dont want to waste the money if im not going to get much lower

Any advice would be much appreciated
Cheers

Have you replaced the donuts recently?

Do you not need to fit lowered shocks too?

If you have recently replaced the cones, which it appears you have, otherwise you have a serious problem, you need to let them bed in. Just drive it and they'll eventually settle.

Also, ensure the Hilo is sitting properly in the cone

Are the trumpets sitting correctly in their respective cups?? are the cones new? also you may find you have to remove a small section of the hi lo to enable the car to sit lower.

This is from the Minispares page

If you need the car even lower, dispence with the locking nut which was never on the originals and shorten the main adjuster bolt 3/4" and circlip.

Yeah the doughnuts have not long been fitted. Everything seems to be seated fine.
As for the shocks im running KYB gas-a-justs front & back, so I would imagine these would be perfect for lowering.
Im guessing im just impatient and im not giving time for the cones to bed. Its not a runner as of yet, so im guessing its going to be a while before they bed correctly.
I just thought the weight of the car would of pushed them down enough.
Cheers people

Fronts, are your shock mounts on the correct sides?  Rears, are they seated correctly?

Also I replaced the nuts on the hi-los, which may have been thicker, adding to my problem.
Ill try removing the locking nut & replacing the remaining with a thinner nut.
Thanks again

I fitted new cones with the Hilos set to the lowest setting about 3 weeks ago and I've already noticed they have settled a bit. Although they weren't quite as high as yours after fitting. They will settle eventually I'm sure.

Could also check you have the correct knuckle fitted. The one without the spacer is the one you want, although I doubt the spacer would raise it much maybe extra 5-10mm

My clubby is set as low as it goes and still sits about normal ride height (new everything). I don't use my car all year round so it will take a little while longer for it to settle

KYB silver dampers are notorious for affecting ride height.

You need to wind down hi/los if have them, cones will settle, but take a longer time than with other dampers, of the OEM and adjustable variety
