Hi Everyone,

I bought a built up gearbox with a diff fitted minus the 1st motion gear. All i want to do is remove the 1st motion from my old box and put this on the new gearbox, fit the new gearbox to the engine and finish the engine off.

My problem is that I cannot get the engine to lock on either box and i know nothing about gearboxes. Both boxes are built up and i don't want to strip either down

The ball bearing has fallen out of the old box and i've undone the selector so that it bulls out and in and twists a little.

What do i do next to lock the gears?

How do i lock 1st and 4th as suggested? (which are first and 4th when i look at the box)

how do i engage the selector afterwards?

Once i know this is can lock both boxes and move on.

Please help as i have no idea whats in the gearbox. :withstupid:

Any help would be massively appreciated as i'm going nuts trying o work this out.

U need to get drivers side diff casing off to get the spring and ball bearing out so you can move the selector shaft far enough out to then engage both gears
