does anyone have any photos  of where the springs go on front drum brake shoes 

ive checked the web and haynes manual but there are no pictures / instructions out there ( well haynes does say assemble making sure springs go in correct holes ,,big help)

ok found image on minispares where the long ones fit but what about the two hooked ones

What do you mean by the 'two hooked ones'?

 

For the Mini twin leading front drum brakes I have worked on in the past they just used two long springs per side.

Do you mean the little 'beehive' springs? If so, these retain the shoes to the cylinder pistons. However, some aftermarket cylinders don't have the necessary hole in the piston.
