A well known and competitive Modified Series Production (upto 1400cc) Hillclimb Car.

I built this car in 2006 and have spent the last 8 years constantly upgrading and improving it into one of the fastest ModProd upto 1400 cars in the country.  However, I needed a new challenge and I’m currently building a single seater hillclimb car.  Sadly I don’t have the money and space to keep both so this has to go.

The car has set hill records at a number of events (although some have been beaten since), and will be competitive on any hill.  It is fully compliant with the current MSA regs and ready to go.  It has been corner weighted and fully setup, I’ll supply a setup sheet - weighs 545kgs and is well balanced.  Worth noting that the settings may look odd to those usually used on minis, but I’ve spent many miles coming up with these to work with the crossply tyres and my driving style, you may prefer a different setup.

This, as a friend so eloquently put it, is a go-car not a show-car.  As such is it not perfect, it is used, but it’s mechanically sound and had no rot, just as it should be.

Specification as follows:

998cc Turbo - note the car does not have the 7-port head fitted, what is has is the previous evolution 5-port engine.  Currently running 15psi boost and 160bhp.  The turbo will happily make over 20psi with power likely to be over 180bhp.  But 160bhp gives a nicely balanced car.  If I was developing this engine further a rolling road session and some boost mapping would be of benefit.
