Might help if you are a little more specific. Mini based kitcars come in many shapes and sizes off-roaders like the blitz, mid-engine sportscars like the GTM's and cars that look just like a Mini like the Dominos plus everything you can think of in between. What other people like might not be of interest to you.

And generally if someone is selling one they will be advertising it.

If you're looking at a Midas Bronze, make very sure that the rear beam axle is in good nick. They are different to Mini beams and difficult to get hold of. Anyone who's good at fabrication could make a new one but I believe it's not easy.

And don't forget a lot of cars are more desirable than others - I really wanted a GTM Coupe but the prices for projects were way out of my range at the time, so I went for the Midas. Set yourself a budget and stick to it. Also ask yourself what you want to do with the car. Do you want a project or a runner? And how long do you want the project to take? I'm about halfway through mine almost 3 years on.

I would recommend having a read through Maximum Mini by Jeroen Booij (he also writes a blog here: http://maximummini.blogspot.co.uk/ ) to get an idea of what's available. You might see something you didn't think of before and go for that instead. Good luck! :gimme:
