Hi could anyone please help with a picture of were the cable goes through the bulk head,I was thinking of changing the grill on my sons mini to internal release but am finding it hard to find any pictures of were the cable runs.Many thanks.

Here is mine, if you look at about 11 o clock just behind the body of the servo

But as above, anywhere it wont bend too sharply really or get near anything moving/hot.

It has a long rubber boot that came with the lock - Mini Spares.

best way i found is decide where you want the release handle and go straight back from there. think the hole has to be above the dash shelf though. if below it will end up in the bulkhead box section in the engine bay. i used a punch from the cabin side to dent the firewall slightly and drilled from the engine bay side.

Find the route with the least stress (you don't want the pipe to be kinked) and a route which doesnt cause any inconvenience at all. Drill a hole, place a rubber surround in the hole so that the edges don't cut into the cable (or the boot it was supplied with). Push cable through.

Don't forget to de-burr the edges after you've drilled it (if there's no another hole existing)
