what would be the best clutch switch to use?
any ebay one?
also one thing im thinking about is if i set the launch control to 3500rpm when i change gear will it cut the revs to 3500rpm?

You could put a momentary push switch under the clutch pedal on one of these http://www.ebay.co.u...=item27ca4057a3 and set it to, say, 4000 RPM so that when the clutch is down, it is turned on and limiting. Then when you raise the clutch, the limiter will be turned off and allow you to rev it right up.
You could even have another limiter set at around 6-8k RPM (depending on engine spec), so that you can do full throttle gear changes.
Any heavy duty momentary push switch should be OK.

Hmmmm, I'm thinking the spark would just be cut so you may get a little back fire when it sparks the fuel in the chambers...?
I'm intrigued now!

The limiter just cuts off the ignition, so you'll probably just get a backfire, as above.
You could always have a master switch (like a toggle switch) on your steering wheel or something that you switch off when you've launched, so that just the top end limiter is active.

Megajolt do their limiter via a chunky resistor so it doesn't spark out of sync, the soft limiter is even safer as it just retards the ignition. I don't think it'd be too much of an issue on a gear change when you're trying hard - as long as the clutch is disengaged there'll be plenty of inertia in the flywheel. It'd do a similar job to a rev limiter.

Does that suggest it's using the hard cut circuitry?

I believe so.

Just musing if it could be done with a soft limiter, or if there'd be any point.
Would you fair better switching it off first gear - surely there'd be a fairly consistent rpm point where the torque would get the better of your tyres. You could rig an override switch as an enhancement.
