hello,

due to a few dash modifications i am now left with only a small amount of space behind the speedo. i dont want to put the standard cable under too much stress so an "elbow" would be preferred.

Does anybody know of an "elbow" that can be fitted onto the back of a 90MPH smiths speedo and join to a standard mini speedo cable?

regards,

bear

You may also find such a part by trolling through parts catalogs for late 1950s, early 1960s MGs and Austin-Healeys.  Some of them had right angle gearboxes for the speedo cable but I don't know if it was installed at the gearbox or speedometer end of the cable.  .

The Jaguar Mk.2 (2.4, 3.4 & 3.8) had a 1:1 90 degree speedo connector.

Alternatively, contact Speedy cables Ltd who will sell you one which will fit.

You need to confirm that it is a 1:1 ratio. It should be OK.
